It's Not You

Lucy, Racquel And Me are a collaborative project made up of Lucy Prasad, Racquel Roberts and Philippe Perelman. The three of them live on different continents and have never met person, but they make great music remotely - Philippe (France) writes the music, Lucy (Australia) writes the lyrics, and Racquel (California) is the singer. I became friends with Philippe after discovering their music and sharing it on my Awesome Indie playlist, so when Lucy took a break from the group he asked me if I'd be interested in writing lyrics for one of their songs. I was happy to oblige, and I wrote 'It's Not You' after hearing Philippe's rough demo.

It was the first time I (co-)wrote a song that another artist performed, and it was a fun experience. I'd like to write more songs for other artists, and one day record an album of my own versions of them (perhaps called 'You Heard It Here Second'!)

Let Me Go Now

After Luna and I collaborated on our song 'Midnight Queen' she asked me if I would be interested in playing piano on a track of hers called 'Let Me Go Now', and I was more than happy to oblige. I was a bit nervous as it was my first time being a performer on someone else's release, but it's a beautiful song and it was fun and easy to play. It's on her wonderful album 'Prophecies And Silver Linings', which I highly reccomend.

Friends With Playlists
​
After Spencer and I collaborated on our song 'Minefield' he asked me if I'd be willing to contribute backing vocals to his song 'Friends With Playlists', which I was more than happy to do. I can't remember if it was Spencer's suggestion, but I continued using the falsetto I used on the coda of 'Minefield', and even though I'm only one of several backing vocalists on the song, my high voice is most clear at 1 minute 36 seconds! It's on his great album 'You're A Lighthouse, I'm At Sea', which I highly reccomend.

Phoenix

Most Epic Dream is a band made up of composer/producer Damien Walters and singer/lyricist Louisa Sawyer. I was approached by them in late 2024 about contributing co-lead vocals to a great song of theirs called 'Phoenix'. Once the vocals were finished the song turned out so well that they decided to make it the lead single of their album 'Orphans'. Louisa and I filmed a music video for the song in February 2025 (which you can check out on the Music Video page) and the album was released 3 months later.
